Jemez Canyon Overlook

Jemez Canyon Overlook sits at 7,990 feet along the Jemez Mountain Trail, facing 210 degrees toward the south-southwest. The land drops 615 feet within 600 meters of the overlook, giving an open view down into the canyon below. From this point, Dark Canyon Picnic Ground lies south-southwest at 0.3 miles, with Spence Hot Spring to the south at 0.5 miles. Farther out, Rincon Picnic Ground is visible at 1.3 miles south-southwest, followed by Battleship Rock Picnic Ground and Battleship Rock itself, both 2.1 miles to the south-southwest at elevations of 6,815 and 7,028 feet respectively.
