Libby Flats Observation Point

Libby Flats Observation Point sits at 10,823 feet along the Snowy Range Scenic Byway, with the terrain dropping 160 feet within 600 meters of the overlook. The view faces east, directly toward sunrise. Corner Mountain rises to the east at 7.6 miles (9,485 ft), with Bald Mountain further along the same direction at 10.1 miles (9,583 ft). Rock Creek Point is visible to the northeast at 8.7 miles, reaching 10,605 feet, and Lake Mountain lies to the south-southeast at 16.2 miles (9,736 ft). Because the overlook faces the sunrise, morning light arrives early: around 5:33 at the June solstice, 6:53–7:09 near the equinoxes, and 7:29 at the December solstice. Saratoga is 27.4 miles to the west-northwest, Laramie is 36.7 miles east, and Hanna is 39.0 miles north-northwest.
