The view spans a series of named peaks and points at increasing distances: Buzzards Roost Lookout at 0.6 mile east-northeast, Storms Mountain at 4.5 miles east-northeast, Schoolhouse Mountain at 6.5 miles southeast, Crawford Mountain at 9.2 miles southeast, Kyle Mountain at 9.8 miles east-southeast, McClure Mountain at 10.2 miles east-northeast, and Sugarloaf Mountain at 10.9 miles south-southeast, ranging from 1,162 to 1,456 feet in elevation. The facing direction looks toward sunrise, angled 30 degrees off square, with sunrise times shifting from 06:27 at the June solstice to 07:33 at the December solstice. Graham lies 16.8 miles north-northwest, Mineral Wells is 21.4 miles east-southeast, and Breckenridge is 26.6 miles west-southwest. The lookout falls between Horned Frog Lookout and Buzzards Roost Lookout along the trail sequence.
