This overlook sits at 1,152 feet along the Great River Road, facing north, with the land dropping 506 feet within 600 meters of the viewpoint. The terrain falls away toward Winona, 1.2 miles to the north-northeast, and a series of parks and low-lying features spread out below, mostly between 653 and 674 feet in elevation. Quad Courtyard, Windom Park, Levee Park, and Latsch Island lie to the north-northeast within two miles, while Cotter Fields, Prairie Island Park, Goodview Park, and Memorial Park lie to the northwest. Lions Park is visible to the east-northeast, and Agahming Park sits north-northeast at 2.2 miles. Angel Bluff, at 924 feet, rises to the north at 3.3 miles, and McNally Landing lies north-northwest at 3.7 miles. The overlook is positioned between Garvin Heights Park Scenic Lookout and the North View lookout along the route. Onalaska and La Crosse lie farther southeast, over 23 miles away.
