Council Ring, a feature to the southeast at 0.8 mi and 1,519 ft, is visible from this point. Bemidji lies 22.1 mi to the northeast, Park Rapids is 23.0 mi south-southeast, and Detroit Lakes is 41.9 mi to the southwest. Daylight hours shift across the year at this location: on the June solstice, sunrise is at 05:25 and sunset at 21:21, while the December solstice brings a shorter span, with sunrise at 08:06 and sunset at 16:34.
