(1 in a multiple picture album) Note that when they mixed the asphalt for the highway they used crushed red sandstone from the surrounding landscape. What a drive it is to take UT Hwy 9 up above the canyon in Zion National Park.

(1 in a multiple picture album) If you go to Zion National Park, allow a half day to drive up Mt. Carmel Road (Hwy 9) into the high country. You'll get a whole new perspective on the park. A couple of trails will be found that will take you to an overlook of Zion Canyon below.
