Prest

Prest sits at 4,456 feet on the Aurlandsfjellet byway, with terrain dropping 2,316 feet within 600 meters of the overlook. The view faces 240°, roughly toward sunset, taking in Stegastein to the south-southwest at 1.6 miles and Andaberg at 3.0 miles in the same general direction, reaching 2,258 feet. Three waterfalls are visible: Hagafossen to the south-southwest at 2.5 miles, Klokkarfossen to the west at 2.9 miles, and Flugandefossen to the west-southwest at 3.2 miles. Onstadberget lies southwest at 2.6 miles, Brattasva sits south at 2.7 miles, and Lialandet, a stretch of coast at 55 feet elevation, is visible to the southwest at 3.3 miles. Because the overlook faces toward the setting sun, evening light will come in low and direct, particularly around the June solstice, when sunset is at 23:11.
