Rabb Knob Overlook

Rabb Knob Overlook sits at 3,721 feet along the Blue Ridge Parkway, facing 330 degrees, with the land dropping 484 feet within 600 meters of the viewpoint. From this vantage, Fowler Balsam Mountain rises to the north-northwest at 2.7 miles (5,428 ft), with Oldfield Top farther northwest at 3.0 miles (5,791 ft). Two other parkway viewpoints are visible: Wesner Bald Overlook (MP 448.1) to the west at 3.0 miles (4,990 ft) and Scott Creek Overlook (MP 448.5) to the west-northwest at 3.1 miles (5,158 ft). Plott Balsam appears north-northwest at 3.2 miles (6,081 ft), and Mount Lyn Lowry stands west-northwest at the same distance, reaching 6,229 feet. Asheville lies 30.7 miles to the east-northeast, Hendersonville is 34.9 miles east-southeast, and Sevierville is 40.9 miles to the northwest. The overlook is positioned between Balsam Gap Overlook and View Waynesville along the route. Sunrise and sunset times vary by season, with the June solstice bringing the earliest sunrise at 06:18 and latest sunset at 20:51, while the December solstice has sunrise at 07:38 and sunset at 17:24.
