This overlook sits along the Hardangervidda byway at an elevation of 4,045 ft, with land dropping 35 ft within 600 m of the site. Three peaks are visible from the overlook: Susaren to the southwest at 4.9 mi (4,562 ft), Fannanutane to the west-southwest at 6.0 mi (4,697 ft), and Fagernuten to the west at 6.7 mi (4,717 ft). Daylight hours vary considerably across the year at this location. Around the March equinox, sunrise is at 05:33 and sunset at 17:43.
