Two named peaks are visible: Steinbunuten to the south-southwest at 2.6 mi, rising to 4,488 ft, and Dyranutane to the west-southwest at 4.5 mi, reaching 4,448 ft. Both peaks stand higher than the overlook itself, so they occupy the upper portion of the sightline in the facing direction. Daylight at this location varies considerably by season: around the June solstice, sunrise comes at 02:01 and sunset at 21:03, giving an extended period of daylight. By contrast, the December solstice brings a much shorter day, with sunrise at 08:36 and sunset at 14:20. The equinoxes fall closer to a 12-hour split, with March sunrise at 05:33 and sunset at 17:43, and September sunrise at 05:14 and sunset at 17:33. Visitors planning a stop here can expect a view dominated by the two peaks noted above, with the surrounding drop in elevation shaping the immediate foreground below the overlook.
