This overlook sits at 2,239 feet on the Ocoee Scenic Byway, facing 150 degrees toward the southeast. The land falls away 710 feet within 600 meters of the overlook, giving an open view across the terrain below. Eight named peaks are visible from this point, ranging from Iron Mountain at 1,681 feet, 9.1 miles to the south-southwest, to Big Frog Mountain at 4,208 feet, 9.2 miles to the south-southeast. Other visible peaks include Hogback Mountain, Peavine Mountain, Bearpen Hill, Chimneytop, Brock Mountain, and Licklog Top, spread across the southeast, south-southeast, and east directions between 4.7 and 9.7 miles out. Cleveland lies 15.1 miles to the west-northwest, with Dalton and East Ridge farther off to the southwest and west. This overlook falls along the byway between Sugerloaf Viewpoint and Gazebo Overlook.
