Several small parks and gardens lie within a mile: John R. Watson Park to the south-southwest at 0.4 mi, Redmond Plaza to the west-southwest at 0.7 mi, El Moore Gardens and North Cass Community Garden to the west at 0.8 mi, Cass Park to the southwest at 0.8 mi, and Wigle New Park to the west-southwest at 0.9 mi. These features sit at elevations between 612 and 621 feet, close to the overlook's own height. Detroit is 1.3 miles to the south, with Warren about 10.1 miles north-northeast and Sterling Heights roughly 15.9 miles north.
