Setehaug

Setehaug sits at 1,545 ft along the Hardanger byway, with the terrain dropping 1,392 ft within 600 meters of the overlook. The view faces 60°, oriented generally toward sunrise, though offset 30° from due east. Several peaks are visible across a range of distances: Rindarnuten to the north-northeast at 3.2 mi (2,519 ft), Oksen to the northeast at 3.7 mi (4,060 ft), Kalvbakkehøgdi to the north at 4.8 mi (1,948 ft), and Steinsethorgi to the north-northeast at 6.7 mi (2,593 ft). To the east and southeast, Lutranuten (4.6 mi, 3,258 ft), Raudnos (5.3 mi, 3,871 ft), and Tveismenuten (6.2 mi, 4,055 ft) are also in view. Given the facing direction, morning light reaches the overlook first, with sunrise times ranging from 04:05 at the June solstice to 09:40 at the December solstice. The steep drop just beyond the overlook means the foreground falls away quickly, leaving the peaks as the dominant features of the outlook.
