To the west, Torefjell rises to 3,413 feet at 5.3 miles, and Forsetfossen, a waterfall, is visible at 5.9 miles and 1,903 feet. Southwest, the view takes in Skutesnos (2,174 ft, 6.3 mi), Vasahaugen (1,275 ft, 6.5 mi), and Hellerfjellet (2,275 ft, 6.7 mi). Because the overlook faces toward the sunset direction, evening light in particular will fall across this stretch of terrain. Sunset times shift considerably across the year, from 23:08 at the June solstice to 15:26 at the December solstice, which affects how late this orientation remains useful for viewing.
