Vikedalsnebbet sits at 2,444 feet on the Hardanger byway, facing 150 degrees toward the southeast. The terrain falls sharply here, dropping 1,251 feet within 600 meters of the overlook. From this vantage, Alsåker naturreservat lies southeast at 5.4 miles, with Brureika visible east-southeast at the same distance. Several peaks stand out across the middle distance, including Samlen to the south at 5.5 miles, Vinesfjellet east-southeast at 6.0 miles, and Vatnasetnuten south-southeast at 7.0 miles. Farther east-southeast, Håsetekolla rises at 6.8 miles and Grimsnuten at 8.2 miles, the latter reaching 4,029 feet. Daylight hours shift considerably through the year at this location: on the June solstice, the sun rises at 04:06 and sets at 23:08, while on the December solstice it rises at 09:41 and sets at 15:25.
