- I mai 1942 la tyske styrkar Telavåg på Sotra i ruinar. Dei sprengde eller brende alle husa og førde bygdefolket bort. Menn mellom 16 og 60 år fekk eit tungt opphald i tyske konsentrasjonsleirar.
