Sneem Graveyard

Sneem Graveyard sits along the Ring of Kerry at an elevation of 65 ft, with land dropping 33 ft within 600 m of the site. To the south, a cluster of parks and gardens lies within a mile, including North Square Park, South Square Park, The Wild Garden, Sally Garden, and Garden of the Senses, all between 0.6 and 0.8 mi away and at elevations of 38 to 43 ft. Farther out, a ring of higher peaks surrounds the overlook: Knockanamadane rises to 836 ft to the east-southeast, Dereenavurrig Hill to 825 ft to the south-southwest, and to the west-northwest, Slievenashaska South Top and Slievenashaska reach 1,822 ft and 1,846 ft respectively. To the north and northwest, Coomnacronia and Knocknagantee stand at 2,059 ft and 2,201 ft, with River Hill at 1,160 ft to the north-northeast. Daylight hours vary by season, with sunrise at 05:21 and sunset at 22:03 around the June solstice, compared to sunrise at 08:45 and sunset at 16:31 near the December solstice. The stop lies between Com An Chiste and Moll's Gap along the byway.
