Stubblefield Falls Overlook

Stubblefield Falls Overlook sits at 194 feet along the Chesapeake and Ohio Canal Byway, with the land dropping 40 feet within 600 meters of the site. Scott's Run Falls is visible to the west, 0.4 miles away at 210 feet, and Carderock, part of Chesapeake & Ohio National Historic Park, lies north-northwest at the same distance. A series of canal features can be seen to the east-northeast: Lock 14 at 0.9 miles, Lock 13 and Lock 12 both around 1.0 mile, Lock 11 at 1.3 miles, and Lock 10 at 1.5 miles. The Aire picnic area is visible to the east at 1.5 miles. The overlook is 8.0 miles northwest of Arlington, 9.9 miles west-northwest of Washington, and 38.5 miles southwest of Baltimore. Scott's Run Falls is the previous lookout on the byway, and Overlook rock, high, is the next stop.
