Table rock

Table Rock sits at 1,107 feet along the Great River Road, with the land falling 477 feet within 600 meters of the overlook, giving an open drop toward the valley below. The view faces 60°, roughly toward sunrise, oriented east-southeast across a cluster of parks and recreation sites in the La Crosse area. Visible features include Veterans Freedom Park, La Crosse Loggers, Black River Beach, and Copeland Park to the east, with Goose Green Park, Lueth Bicycle and Skate Park, and Red Cloud Park spread east-southeast. To the east-northeast, Hickey Park, Eagle Watch, and Wittenberg Park come into view, while Airport Beach lies along the coast to the northeast. Elevations among these points range from about 641 to 684 feet, well below the overlook itself. La Crosse is 3.4 miles to the southeast and Onalaska is 4.3 miles northeast, with Winona further off at 22 miles northwest. Because the overlook faces sunrise, morning light crosses the scene directly; at the June solstice sunrise comes at 05:24, while at the December solstice it comes later, at 07:37. This overlook falls between Hill of Many Timbers Overlook and Stoney Point on the route.
