Valley Overlook

Valley Overlook sits at 2,555 feet along the byway connecting Woods Creek Road near Monroe to US 97 near Peshastin, facing 30 degrees with the land dropping 1,274 feet within 600 meters of the viewpoint. Several waterfalls are visible to the northeast, including Sunset Falls at 1.6 miles and Canyon Falls at 2.1 miles, along with the Bridal Veil Falls viewpoint at 1.6 miles to the north-northeast. Rock features are visible to the north, including the Lower Town Wall at 2.2 miles and the Index Town Wall at 2.6 miles, with Peanuts Gallery and Moai further along the north-northeast at 2.8 miles. Heybrook Ridge Park and the Heybrook Lookout Picnic Area also lie within view to the north-northeast and northeast. Bellevue is 31.2 miles west-southwest, Seattle is 37.5 miles west-southwest, and Kent is 41.4 miles southwest. On the December solstice, sunrise occurs at 07:53 and sunset at 16:17; on the June solstice, sunrise is at 05:08 and sunset at 21:09. Canyon Falls Viewpoint precedes this stop on the byway, and Lunch Rock follows it.
