This is a single story, low profile building painted brown. It has a large brown and yellow sign that reads "Hiouchi Visitor Center. Redwood National and State Parks". There is a driveway and parking area behind it, also with restrooms, picnic tables and some interpretive signs and information kiosks. A ramp goes from the parking area into the visitor center.
