Monsters, Inc. (also known as Monsters, Incorporated and simply Monsters) is an American media franchise of Pixar that began with the 2001 film of the same name. The franchise takes place in a world parallel to the Earth where monsters are the citizens of society and harness the energy of human children to power their cities.
