Upton's Charge Monument

Monument to the Union regiments who participated in "Upton's Charge" on May 10, 1864. 12 regiments under Col. Emory Upton attacked four Rebel brigades in their defenses. Both sides suffered some 1,000 casualties, the attack failing to secure the defenses.
