- Jacob Zentgraf, a native of Germany (1821 - 1911) settled here on Sweetwater Creek in 1854. Prior to the Zentgrafs a Mr. Stevens had a small vineyard on the property. As others were attempting to make their fortune in gold fields, Jacob saw the potential
