1755 Lighthouse Foundation

Foundation of the second Beavertail Light, built in 1755, burned by the British in 1779, rebuilt in 1783-84, and demolished after the present lighthouse was completed in 1856-5. It was uncovered by tidal action during the hurricane of 1938.
