Bet's Rock

Twin Peaks North is visible to the south-southwest at a distance of 3.8 miles, with an elevation of 6,768 feet, placing it below the overlook. Albuquerque lies 12.2 miles to the west, South Valley is 14.6 miles west-southwest, and Rio Rancho is 20.2 miles northwest, though none of these towns are directly noted as visible from the overlook itself. Sunrise and sunset times shift across the year, with sunrise ranging from 05:53 at the June solstice to 07:11 at the December solstice, and sunset ranging from 16:58 in December to 20:24 in June. Lightning Scarred Tree is the previous stop along the byway, and Flat Rock Overlook follows as the next lookout.
