C Nature area sits at 161 feet along the Lake Champlain Byway in Vermont, with land dropping 8 feet over the next 600 meters. Winooski Falls is visible 0.5 miles to the west-northwest, along with the nearby Winooski River Walk at the same distance and direction. Also in view to the west-northwest are the Winooski Falls Mill District at 0.6 miles, Victory Circle at 0.6 miles, Veterans of Foreign Wars Memorial Park at 0.7 miles, and West Allen Street Park at 0.9 miles. Schmanska Park lies to the west-southwest at 0.6 miles and 260 feet elevation. South Burlington is 1.6 miles to the south, and Burlington is 2.1 miles west-southwest; Plattsburgh is 19.9 miles northwest. On the June solstice, sunrise is at 05:09 and sunset at 20:42; on the December solstice, sunrise is at 07:27 and sunset at 16:16. The equinox days bring sunrise and sunset close to 12 hours apart, near 06:57/19:05 in March and 06:40/18:52 in September. This overlook follows Winooski River Walk on the byway and precedes LaPlatte River Falls.
