On the March equinox, sunrise occurs at 07:08 and sunset at 19:16; the June solstice brings sunrise at 05:50 and sunset at 20:23. The September equinox sunrise is 06:53 with sunset at 19:02, and on the December solstice sunrise comes at 07:10 with sunset at 16:55. Leffingwell Landing is the previous lookout along the byway heading this direction, and Cayucos Point follows as the next stop.
