Farther along the same line of sight, the Patio View of MacRae Peak appears at 2.2 miles and 5,377 feet elevation. To the northeast, Grandmother View is visible at 2.3 miles and the Linn Cove Viaduct at 2.4 miles. Johnson City lies 33.2 miles to the west-northwest, Hickory 36.2 miles southeast, and Bristol 41.1 miles north-northwest. The overlook is preceded by Little Bald Overlook and followed by the Patio View of MacRae Peak along the route.
