Kviltuva

Kviltuva sits at 780 ft along the Lofoten byway, facing 210° with terrain dropping 669 ft within 600 meters of the overlook. The view spans peaks including Skjelltinden to the south-southwest at 2.3 mi (1,087 ft), Brattfloget due south at 3.1 mi (1,482 ft), Blåtinden to the south-southwest at 4.1 mi (1,905 ft), and Justadtinden, also south-southwest, at 5.7 mi (2,328 ft), the highest of the visible summits listed. To the west-southwest, at 2.8 mi, lie the archaeological excavations of Borg and the Viking Chieftain's House, with Klevstadhytta further along the same bearing at 3.6 mi. The Skjerpvatnet fugletårn viewpoint is visible to the southwest at 5.1 mi. Daylight varies sharply through the year: the March equinox brings sunrise at 06:06 and sunset at 18:20, the September equinox sunrise at 06:45 and sunset at 19:11, the June solstice brings midnight sun, and the December solstice brings polar night. Djevelporten precedes this lookout on the byway, and Skagsanden follows it.
