This overlook on the Wild Atlantic Way sits at 140 ft elevation, facing 300° with the land dropping 138 ft within 600 m of the viewpoint. Several named features lie within view to the west and northwest, including Ceannan Court at 3.8 mi and the Famine Memorial Garden at 4.5 mi, both under 200 ft in elevation. Carn Hill rises to 749 ft to the northwest at 4.0 mi, while Foxhill open Park sits at 566 ft to the west-northwest at 4.5 mi. Farther out, Ballymacool Park appears at 5.7 mi to the west, and Glendoon Hill reaches 789 ft at 7.5 mi, also to the west. The facing direction is oriented toward sunset, offset 30° from square. Sunset times vary through the year, from 16:04 at the December solstice to 22:14 at the June solstice. This lookout follows Ballymastocker Strand and precedes Mamore Gap along the route.
