Marymere Falls

This overlook sits at 906 feet along the byway between SR 109 near Queets and SR 5 near Olympia, facing 330 degrees toward the northwest. The terrain drops 246 feet within 600 meters of this point. Pyramid Mountain rises to the north-northwest at 1.9 miles, reaching 3,021 feet, while Mount Muller is visible farther off to the west-northwest at 9.2 miles, with an elevation of 3,707 feet. Marymere Falls itself, located nearby in Olympic National Park near Lake Crescent, drops 90.5 feet and is reached by a 0.9 mile dirt trail through old-growth forest of fir, cedar, hemlock, and alder, crossing two wooden bridges. Falls Creek, which forms the falls, descends from Aurora Ridge before joining Barnes Creek. Port Angeles lies 17.2 miles to the east-northeast, Sequim is 31.4 miles east, and Forks is 28.5 miles to the west-southwest.
