Red Mountain Overlook Observation Site

Red Mountain Overlook Observation Site sits at 7,122 feet along the Coronado Trail Scenic Byway, with land dropping 507 feet within 600 meters of the site. The view faces 60°, roughly toward sunrise, taking in Brigham Peak to the northeast at 2.9 miles (7,043 ft) and Tincup Spring to the east-northeast at 3.4 miles (5,983 ft). Because the orientation is angled toward the sunrise side, morning light reaches the overlook directly across the seasons, with sunrise ranging from 05:09 at the June solstice to 07:18 at the December solstice. Clifton lies 24.5 miles south, Pima 45.0 miles southwest, and Whiteriver / Chʼilwózh 46.8 miles northwest. The site falls along the byway between Chase Creek Overlook Observation Site and Blue Vista Overlook.
