The view to the east-northeast takes in Smith Point at 1.0 mile (1,466 ft), Barton Mountain and Smith Pinnacle both at 2.9 miles (1,882 ft each), and Angling Pinnacle to the east at 6.5 miles (1,738 ft). Hot Springs lies 17.6 miles to the south, with Benton 31.0 miles east-southeast and Conway 42.8 miles east-northeast. Daylight hours shift across the year, with sunrise at 06:00 and sunset at 20:30 near the June solstice, and sunrise at 07:17 and sunset at 17:06 near the December solstice. Equinox daylight runs from about 07:17 to 19:24 in March and 07:01 to 19:11 in September. This overlook falls between Goat Rock Viewpoint and South Gap Scenic Point along the byway route.
