Stratton Ridge

Stratton Ridge sits at 4,419 feet along the Cherohala Skyway, with the view facing 30 degrees, roughly north-northeast. The terrain drops 277 feet within 600 meters of the overlook, giving an open sightline across the ridge. Three peaks are visible: Strawberry Knob to the north at 1.3 miles (4,643 ft), Bob Bald to the north-northeast at 2.7 miles (5,278 ft), and Stratton Bald to the northeast at 3.1 miles (5,320 ft). Sunrise and sunset times vary by season, from a 06:22 sunrise at the June solstice to a 07:42 sunrise at the December solstice, with sunset ranging from 20:55 in June to 17:28 in December. Maryville is 29.1 miles north, Athens is 32.8 miles west-northwest, and Sevierville is 44.8 miles northeast. The previous lookout along the route is Whig Cove.
