Warrior Mountain Overlook

Warrior Mountain Overlook sits at 1,391 feet along the Chesapeake and Ohio Canal Byway, facing 150 degrees toward the southeast. The land drops 351 feet within 600 meters of the overlook, giving an open sense of elevation change immediately in front of the viewpoint. Cacapon 2, a peak at 2,208 feet, is visible to the east-southeast at a distance of 11.0 miles. Cumberland lies 14.7 miles to the west, while Martinsburg is 30.1 miles east-southeast and Winchester 34.5 miles south-southeast. On the June solstice, sunrise occurs at 05:47 and sunset at 20:46, the longest daylight window of the year at this location; on the December solstice, sunrise is at 07:32 and sunset at 16:54. The equinox sun rises near 07:18–07:02 and sets near 19:26–19:13. This overlook falls between Georgians Overlook and Banner's Overlook along the byway route.
