The nearest towns are Chicopee, 32.5 miles to the south-southwest, Springfield, 35.5 miles in the same direction, and Worcester, 40.3 miles to the southeast, placing this stop well outside any immediate urban area. Along the Mohawk Trail, this overlook follows Overlook and precedes Bissell Bridge Falls.
