Ben Hur Mine concrete pad and hoist
historic site
The mine was developed in 1907–08 by a 700-foot vertical shaft with levels at 100-foot intervals. In 1939, the shaft was rebuilt and dewatered, requiring two months of continuous pumping to discharge 5 million gallons of water.
