Beach 6 Overlook sits at 110 feet elevation along the byway between Queets and Olympia, facing 240 degrees toward the Pacific. The land drops 120 feet within 600 meters of the overlook, giving an open view down toward the water. There is no trail here; the overlook is a pull-off from highway 101 for parking safely and taking in the view. Binoculars are worth bringing, as sea otters and migrating whales can sometimes be spotted offshore. The orientation faces toward the sunset, roughly 30 degrees off square, with sunset times ranging from about 16:29 in December to 21:20 in June. Forks lies 18.0 miles to the north, while Taholah is 24.3 miles south-southeast and Pacific Beach 34.6 miles south-southeast.
