Blue Haze Vista

Blue Haze Vista sits at 1,966 feet along the Talimena Scenic Drive, facing east with land dropping 571 feet within 600 meters of the overlook. The Mena Sports Complex is visible to the southeast at 3.4 miles. Farther out, a line of peaks extends across the eastern horizon: Wolf Pinnacle (2,440 ft) to the east-northeast at 8.4 miles, Irons Fork Mountain (1,820 ft) to the east at 11.8 miles, Blue Mountain (2,599 ft) to the east-northeast at 11.9 miles, and Goldsberry Mountain (1,554 ft) to the east at 12.2 miles. Bear Mountain (1,464 ft) lies southeast at 12.6 miles, with Lamb Mountain (1,667 ft) to the east at 13.3 miles and Hawk's Overlook (1,762 ft) to the southeast at 14.6 miles. Because the view faces directly toward sunrise, the overlook aligns with the sun as it comes up, ranging from about 6:05 a.m. at the June solstice to 7:22 a.m. at the March equinox. Mena is 3.0 miles to the south, with Poteau 36.6 miles northwest and Booneville 39.9 miles north-northeast. The next stop along the drive is Acorn Vista.
