CL Graham Wangan Overlook sits at 2,820 feet along the Kancamagus Scenic Byway, facing east across land that drops 350 feet within 600 meters of the overlook. Greens Cliff is visible to the east, 4.5 miles away at 2,884 feet. The site has a large paved parking area able to accommodate buses and class A motor homes, though it is not plowed in winter. Interpretive signs at the overlook describe vegetation zones and the Swift River watershed. The name "Wangan Ground" refers to a historical meeting place used by Native Americans in this area of New Hampshire. Because the view faces east, sunrise falls direct into the overlook's line of sight, with sunrise times ranging from about 5:04 a.m. at the June solstice to 7:18 a.m. at the December solstice. Gilford lies 33.1 miles south, Laconia 34.2 miles south, and Berlin 34.5 miles north-northeast. Pemigewasset Overlook precedes this stop on the byway, and Beaver Brook Overlook follows it.

The C. L. Graham Overlook offers a spectacular vista of the Swift River Watershed and the mountains to the north and east. There is a large paved parking area (not plowed in winter) large enough to accommodate busses and class A motor homes. Interpretive signs describe the various vegitation zones and the Swift River Water Shed. This overlook is also called "The Wagan Ground" or "meeting place" of the Native Americans who lived and hunted in this area of New Hampshire.
