Located on the shore of Black Bay with views across the water to the Kabetogama Peninsula. The Rainy Lake Visitor Center hours of operation vary with the season. The visitor center offers an exhibit area, displays, a bookstore, a staffed information desk, a children's activity table, and a theater for viewing the park film. A free public boat launch provides access to Rainy Lake during the warm season, and access for cars on the Rainy Lake Ice Road during the winter.

A passport stamp can be found inside the visitor center during business hours. There is also a passport stamp located on the bulletin board in front of the visitor center that can be accessed at all hours.

Located on the shore of Black Bay with views across the water to the Kabetogama Peninsula. This visitor center serves people in the northern part of the park and is located 11 miles East on Highway 11 from International Falls, Minnesota.

The visitor center is located a short walk from the upper parking lot. To the left of the visitor center is a side walk ramp and stairs are located directly in front of the visitor center. A bulletin board is located on the right in front of the visitor center and has a large map of the park as well as brochures and a passport stamp. To enter the visitor center there are two sets of double doors. Once past those there is the front desk located to the right and to the left is a museum. The park bookstore is located on the right just past the front desk. After the bookstore is a hallway that leads to the restrooms.
