Farther out, South Esker Natural Area, Maffei Arts Plaza, School Street Sustainability Park, Nathan's Garden, Dartmouth Green, and Baker Lawn extend the sightline north and north-northwest to about 2.1 miles, with Mink Brook Swimming Area visible to the north-northwest as well. The facing direction is angled 30 degrees off square to sunset, making it oriented toward evening light. Lebanon lies 2.8 miles southeast, with Claremont 21.0 miles south and Rutland 34.7 miles west. This overlook follows View of Bellows Falls and precedes Norman Overlook on the byway route.
